Khukh lake /Blue lake/ - Black Heart mountain

To the northwest of the center of Tsenkhermandal soum in Khentii province, near the Tsenkher River, lies Khukh Nuur of Black Heart. Blue Lake consists of two interconnected freshwater lakes located at an altitude of 1675 meters above sea level in the Valley of Khar Zurkh Mountain.
Behind the lake, to the north, stands the sharp-peaked Black Heart Mountain, which is forested on its northern slopes and bare on its southern slopes. In 1189, Temujin was enthroned here as the Khaan of All Mongols and took the title of Chinggis Khaan or Great Khaan.

On the shore of the lake stands a monument erected for the 840th anniversary of Chinggis Khaan's enthronement. Around this monument are wooden carvings of 36 kings from the Golden Lineage who ruled Mongolia. At the center of these carvings are depictions of Chinggis Khaan, his father Yesugei, his mother Hoelun, and his chief wife Borte Ujin.
The surrounding area of Blue Lake is peaceful, quiet and wonderful for hiking and relaxation.
