Taliin Agui-step Cave

Taliin Agui-step Cave

Taliin Cave is located in Dariganga sum, Sukhbaatar Province, 13 km north of Shiliin Bogd Mountain, situated in a flat plain.
Two kilometers southeast of the cave, there is an extinct volcano. The cave's entrance is at an elevation of 1250 meters above sea level.
The entrance of the cave is 4.5 meters deep, located at the bottom of a depression with a catchment area of 484 cubic meters of water on its eastern side. The entrance faces directly west and is narrow, just wide enough for a person to squeeze through.
Taliin Cave is currently known to be the largest and longest volcanic-origin cave in our country.
The cave has a single main tunnel that extends eastward. From the northern side of this tunnel, two branches emerge, but one of them rejoins the main tunnel. The other branch continues in one direction for 11 meters before ending. In total, the cave is 200 meters long.
