The Menen Steppe, located in the vast expanse of Eastern Mongolia, is the largest plain in our country.
The surface of the plain is uniform, with a slope not exceeding 10 meters per kilometer. The Menen Steppe stretches over 90 kilometers westward from Lake Buir and spans over 60 kilometers in width, situated at an elevation of 600 meters above sea level.
This vast plain is rich in pasture vegetation, home to gazelles, wolves, and rare wildlife, and has preserved its natural landscape. The Menen Steppe is a vast area of feather grass steppe with small hills, adjoining the catchment areas of the Nomrog and Khalkh Rivers.
The Menen Steppe is a primary grazing area for Mongolian gazelles, and each year hundreds of them gather here to winter. The plain offers the opportunity to witness the breathtaking beauty of the steppe, resembling an ocean of grass
