Zorgol Khairkhan is located in the Töv Province of Mongolia, approximately 150 kilometers south of Ulaanbaatar. This area is part of the larger Gobi region, characterized by its rugged terrain and semi-arid climate. According to local lore, Chinggis Khaan used Zorgol Khairkhan as a hunting ground, taking advantage of its rugged terrain and abundant wildlife. The Zorgol Khairkhan Mountains, with their dramatic rock formations and strategic vantage points, provided an ideal hunting ground for Chinggis Khaan and his warriors. Hunting was not only a practical means of procuring food but also a way to train in skills essential for warfare.
