Khar Us Lake national park

Specific areas of Manhan, Buyant, Myangad, Durgen, and Chandmani soums in Khovd province are included in the natural complex area. The National Park encompasses the areas around Khar Us Lake, Khar Lake, and Dörgön Lake. Khar Lake is located to the east of Khar Us Lake and is connected to it by the Chono Kharaikh River. Khar Lake covers an area of 574.8 square kilometers, with a maximum width of 23.6 kilometers and a maximum length of 36.8 kilometers. It discharges its excess water into Dörgön Lake via the Khomyn Khooloi channel. Dörgön Lake is located to the south of Khar Lake and covers an area of 305 square kilometers. It is one of the largest lakes in the Gobi region, with a maximum width of 17 kilometers and a maximum length of 24 kilometers.
