Galuut Valley - Valley of Goose

Galuut Valley - Valley of Goose

When flowing from Olgoi Lake in Galuut soum of Bayankhongor aimag towards the Galuut River, it forms the "Galuut Gorge," which is about two kilometers long. The Galuut Gorge has an average depth of 200-400 meters and a width of 50-200 meters, with steep, sheer cliff walls. At its narrowest point, it becomes a rocky barrier only 2-3 meters wide, where particularly during floods, the river creates powerful and majestic waterfalls and rapids.

Alongside the cold, clear river that rushes through the steep and impressive gorge, most of the bird species found in Mongolia can be seen.
Birds lay eggs on the rocks formed by the gentle waves of this depression. When viewed from above, the water appears crystal clear, like a snowy blanket covering the rock walls.
