Khoid tsenkher cave in Manhan Soum, Khovd Province, is examined as a single cultural heritage site and one of the main attractions of Central Asia, rises to an altitude of 1571 meters.
Khoid Tsenkher Cave consists of two cliffs, one being 130 meters long and the other 90 meters long continuously. The width varies across different areas, typically measuring 3-4 meters wide and 2-3 meters tall. However, in some places, due to erosion, the cliffs become narrow, and people need to squeeze through. Such conditions make it possible for the width and height to increase as one moves further. The cliffs are made of white granite, with a height of up to 15 meters in some places and reaching up to 20 meters near the edge.
On the walls and ceiling of the cave, various animals are depicted, including ostriches, camels, elephants, buffaloes, and trees. The paintings are an outstanding example of the cave art of the Stone Age. The cave walls are blackened from the smoke of the fire. It suggests that people have inhabited this area for a long period. Additionally, the presence of rock paintings dating back 40,000 years, depicting various types of human activities, confirms the rich history of human settlement in this area.
